eBay Business Grants: A Boost for Small Online Sellers

The global ecommerce platform eBay has launched a grant scheme specifically aimed at supporting small businesses in the UK.

Charged Retail reports that £280,000 of funding – made up of support packages and cash grants – has been awarded to 138 businesses.

The scheme had been set up following findings from eBay’s ‘Global Small and Medium Business (SMB) Report’, which examined how sellers are using the platform to navigate the cost-of-business crisis.

“Britain’s bustling community of small businesses play a vital role in the economy and make up the vast majority of our seller network, but there’s no hiding from the fact that many are facing an exceptionally challenging trading environment at present”, commented Sarah Bryant, UK Director of Small Business at eBay.

Bryant continued by highlighting that the “grants and support packages are not just about funding – we’re doing everything we can to make it easier for small businesses to succeed, including providing expert advice and one-to-one mentoring.”

Small businesses access unsecured, fast funding from Got Capital. As an alternative lender, Got Capital offers financing solutions specifically designed for and catered to the needs of SMEs.
